Seattle School Staff Yuko Iwahashi Yuko Iwahashi
Subjects: Business English, Communication in America

I am originally from Wakayama, Japan. I am the middle child of three sisters. I went to Australia as a short-term exchange student for two weeks through my high school when I was in the 11th grade. Then I went to back to Australia for 10 months as a long-term exchange student my senior year in high school. I came to the United States in 2001 to pursue English language. I started with ESL class first, then went to Bellevue College Washington, then moved to CA to attend an interpreter/translation company/school. I had worked for the Seattle Mariners since 2006 and quickly became the manager of the team store in Downtown Seattle. I have been with Trajal USA since March 2013.
In my Business English class, I would like to teach students how to fill out forms, assist guests, and also to provide helpful resources for job hunting. I believe I am able to give students advice based on my experience in the U.S.
I am hoping students get not only a fun and enjoyable experience, but also have some tough and difficult times to help them grow up. Having those experiences will eventually help them find something new, that they did not realize or see before.
Whether I like it or not, I always try things first because something new or interesting happens . My hobbies are cooking, traveling - especially visiting World Heritage sites - and snorkeling. I love swimming with Manatees.
